Game continue. Whatever Docup is trying to do in DEI it is now secondary for me.
At this point of war his moves whatever South or East of Manila are almost irrelevant to war. I need to focus on protection of Home Island

+1

So be sure that you don't have units sitting out there when you need them close to home.

I have 800AV in Singapore area. I will evacuated them in next weeks.
Sumatra and Java are empty. 1200AV in Ambon area. I will not evacuate them to avoid losing Celebes for free
In Manila i have 2000AV. But i will not evacuate them for next 2 months(lack of ships).
Also ~3000AV in Mariana Islands - Currently during evacuation. I will left three only small garrisons.

Any thoughts on how to handle the USSR? Their entry is just around the corner now.
Prayer. [:D]

Seriously, armor and LBA ground attack (meaning control of the air) are the only things that can slow/delay the SOV units.
All the IJA ground attack pilots that you trained up and all the Helens that you built for the last 4 years into all the LBA air groups that you now have ...
you need 100's concentrated all the time.

I have huge training camp in Fusan(lot of rail connections is making reinforcements fast). Avery new ID arriving in last months is moved there and is taking replacements and resting. 8000AV at this moment and rising.

My plan is to retreat from USSR/Manchuria border more south. It is impassible to protect entire line. I believe only reasonable tactic is to start fighting on Manchuria/Korea border where I will be able to concentrate my troops in good defensive terrain.

Probably the wise move here as you can afford to give up those base VPs in Manchuria. Still, I think it would unwise to give up so much of Manchuria for free. The railways are very critical in Manchuria and there are hexes that sit in 3x terrain that can block movement along them. Dig in some infantry into some non base hexes along those railways and make the Soviets attack you. Those dig in levels for units in non base hexes cannot be decreased by assaults which can make those units very difficult to root out. The longer it takes for the Soviets to reach your main line of defense the better.

I would tend to agree ... pick some place and setup some blocks. use your LBA to hit his armor in clear terrain. Your aircraft should in general be superior to the SOV, so use that to your advantage.

We are still playing, but game tempo is rather slow. We playing 3-4 turns weekly. Sometimes less sometimes more.
Game date is currently 6 July 1945. Maybe if i find some time i will do quick update.

I believe game speed as currently it is ok for both of us. Last months we focusing on more important stuff, me and Docup want to focus more on family and job.

I'd love to see how things are going too, but with two boys I sympathize with the family focus. Thanks for letting us know!
