Community Scenario Pack and Steam scenarios

Hi all,

I've bought CMANO from Matrix, and I have been getting my user-made scenarios as part of the official Community Scenario Packs.

I've just noticed that there are lots of scenarios available on Steam, and I'm wondering (since it has been a little while since the latest Community Pack) if scenario creation has migrated there.

Are Matrix buyers missing out by not having the game on Steam? Or will the best scenarios continue to make it into the Community Packs?

Hi Paul,

i think most of the scenario authors put their creations here and on steam. Of course there are a few who are on steam only.

The community pack zip contains latest 'official' scenarios. That doesn't stop designers from dropping the same ones onto steam. Only real benefit to subscribe to steam is to get 'realtime' updates rather than wait for the periodic zip updates.
You can also force the matrix version to connect to steam without actually installing the steam version, if you wish to go that way.

I think this thread is also a "real-time" spot for scenarios before they are put into the community pack.

Presumably those of us not on Steam will have no access to those scenarios exclusively in the Steam Workshop?

The Community Pack is still available to be downloaded. Do you mean the scenarios that are on Steam but not in the pack?

What site gets the most traffic related to the nuts and bolts of Command? I tend to avoid Steam. I never thought of posting my first mission there - just here at home on Matrix. I think this is the primary place for afficionadoes.
