Mud closer. I am also a lot closer to losing.

Open lower Volga area.

Do I attempt baku cut off or head tanks north to threaten Stalingrad supply form the East or surround the Italians.

Last Stalingrad area attack. I push troops across river lower left hoping to cause flank concerns.

3rd attack with main attack force. Close but finally a win.

Since all his reserves are down south I should be able to attack more here and try and flank Moscow from the south.

Until mud halts all.

Stalingrad rescue attempt. I push Guard tank corp deep hoping for hope.

Problem is my cut off units attack and lose a close battle for supply relief. Again defeated by a minor cav brigade.

I could use a break.

another loss.

Somehow in retrospect I should have just attacked the 2 north spearhead positions. That should have relieved the trapped units.

Turn is now at this position. I am attempting to figure out what to do.

With these attack moves I can't retreat.
And his tanks east of Volga will be able to advance north easily (on the east side of river) next turn.

Only 2 more turns in clear.

Hopefully turn will be done by tonight.

you are now up to date!

unfortunately that huge German retreat loss was probably 90% losses from the routed hungarian tank division most likely. Now that unit is probably useless after losses most its men and tanks but doubt it was tons of Germans in those losses.

I think things are going to be pretty bad even once snow hits....as with Stalingrad falling you have nothing to anchor your southern flank left at all and there is no reason for the Germans to push into the open steppes....so most likey he will re-deploy, screen the useless steppes in the South, and concentrate all his forces towards taking the last city or two he needs....and at the rate you are bleeding additional forces your only getting weaker each turn I bet.

The AP change giving free ants for you to continuously be annoying to the Germans with raids is the only reason this game is still going.

I'm not so sure it was 'just' the Hungarians making up for that loss... All three had to retreat over the river. Though I do think the Hungarians made up the majority, I'm pretty sure there were some Hun losses too.
