BP Trade being lost

Post by juntoalmar »

Hi,

I have a couple of BP being trade to the USSR from the US that are not arriving, although there is a line of unused convoys to supply at least one BP. Am I missing something? Because they are trade BP I can't change their behaviour and click "Recompute".

PD. I'm playing with version 2.2.0 so it may be an already solved issue.

Is there ice in the receiving port? Remember you cannot deliver to a snow marked port as long as the (last impulse?) turn weather has been snow.

It's difficult to see what is wrong, without a gamesave. Can you zip that file and upload it here (like you did with the picture)?

Not really. No snow during this (or previous) turn. Actually, CW is having no troubles sending their own BP as said on trade agreements.

Is there maybe a maximum amount of BP that can be "unloaded" into a port?

or

Does the BP need to be sent to a factory or just arrive to any receiver's country port?

Sure. I just thought it could be something easy to spot.

Thanks for the gamesave. It was needed to see what is happening here.

RAW:
Transport
During the production step, you transport the promised build points to
any city or major port in the recipient’s home country (Britain’s in the
case of the Commonwealth). You do this in exactly the same way as
you transport resources (see 13.6.1), except that you can also transport
an additional 2 build points to the capital and 1 to each other city and
major port cumulative, each turn (e.g. you could transport 6 build
points to London each turn; 2 for being the capital, 3 for the factories
and 1 for the major port in the hex). Promised build points that can’t
be transported are lost.
The total number of Lend Lease build points from all sources that can
be transported to the capital, a city, or a factory is the amount that can
be received there, not the amount that can be sent by individual major
powers.

Now look at hex control in the USSR. Murmansk is Axis controlled. The railconnection out of Archangel into the USSR is Axis controlled south of Vologda.

This means that Archangel and Vologda can receive a total of three build points, no more (there are no factories in those cities).
Than there is the convoy chain out of India towards Persia, which transport two build points to the USSR.

The CW transport 4 build points to the USSR succesfully (two out of India) and the US one. That's correct, according to the rules.

That's it! Thanks a lot.

I wasn't sure if you just needed to get the BP to arrive to a port or (as it's the case) they had to arrive to a factory/city. All the BP that could be received are already by the CW.

I will have to try to send through the Pacific.

Again, thanks a lot guys for your time and your help. This MWiF community is one of the great things from this game. [&o]

Yep, there is a limit, juntoalmar...
