The naval action took a bit longer than expected so the action will continue tomorrow.

M/A 41 Axis 9

No DoW or alignmemnts.

Ever mindful of the need for efficiency, the 3 Axis powers all opt for Combined.

Jap Trans takes Hiroshima Mil to Port Arthur. A second loads Fukuoka Mil from the city to China Sea 1-box.

Battle-cruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, accompanied by von Hipper sail into Cape St Vincent. Do the Allies wish to intercept and with what?

The Provence shows its provenance when it detects the German battle squadron (4 rolled). The German ships elect to stay and fight from the sea-zone and settle in the 4-box.

Italian Trans with Turin Mil sails to West Med. Do the Allies wish to intercept?

HMS Cornwall searches valiantly and catches sight of some smoke on the horizon but cannot make it in time to identify the source (5 rolled). The Italian transports join their aviator colleagues in the 2-box.

Two areas for naval combat.

The Italians decline West Med.

In CSV, the Italian 2-box Nav initiates searching. The Axis don't add any planes. The Allies can fly Swordfish to 1-box, Harrow to 2-box and Whitley to either 1-box or 2-box if extended range. Any interest?

Swordfish to the 0-box. Aye, aye sir.

Both sides easily locate each other (1's rolled. In a strange coincidence, the MWiF roller also produced a brace of 1's. Some things are meant to be).

Bf-110 flies as a fighter.

How do the Allies wish to use the Swordfish?

The 4 range of the Swordfish in the 0-box makes quite a difference to what the Allies can bring to the party as it enables the 0-box to be included.

Range matters not for land based naval bombers.

True, I guess simply the +1 for being a Nav then.
