Screen shot size restrictions

Post by ny59giants »

I was just trying to post a screen shot from Tracker, but was told the file was too large (over 450KB). It was near 700KB and I have a few from Tracker that are near 800KB. Is there a work around?

What is the file format? I normally upload .JPG and they seem to be small enough every time.

Then 2 options come in my mind.

A: Load the image in windows paint and scale it down to 75% or whatever needed to cut down size.
B: Upload it to an image hosting service and put in the url here using Image
This should work - in therory. I never had to use this in this forum.

EDIT: Just took a look at the upload message and it's up to 5,000 KB.
So 700 should be more than OK. Does your upload screen tell different limits?

The Tech Support subforum allows up to 5,000KB. Other subforums are only 1,000.
