Hello,
I asked a mod question today, and feel I already started off on the wrong foot.
So let me just say hi to this forum.
I am a newbie (game-wise that is,I did play a little Uncommon Valor and War Plan Orange).
This looks really good, but oh my, so detailed.
I'm sure I'll have some questions, so be kind.
Thank you

Hello,

Welcome Mr Mitty.[8D]
Indeed I am a relative newbie myself.
I have always found this forum and these experienced forumites to be helpful, kind, intelligent, and informative.
I am unsure there is a 'wrong foot'; other than to say you will have many many questions no doubt.
My advice is:
1) Be specific as much as possible; with the title of the thread and the question. So many details within this game can be answered "it depends" on your circumstances.
2) Post a screen shot, a picture is worth a 1000 words.
3) Check out the Newbie thread FAQ in the war room, and other links such as the tutorial mentioned by BBFan. There is a tremendous amount of self help contained in these links.
You may end up reading something you don't understand yet...but 6 months (game time) you will say "ohh that makes sense".
Further clarification is often provided by the helpful community

There is also a treasure trove of all sorts of AARs accumulated through years.ORIGINAL: dave sindel
Find a few AAR's to follow. There is typically a lot of wisdom dispensed in these postings.
