Release saved games compatible?

Are saved games started with the last beta release: SetupRelease-v100, compatible with today's retail release?

I just installed the Retail version just now. I confirm that existing saved games are compatible.

Not quite, as PBEM isn't in the release version just yet, so it might pay to hold fire on installing the release version just yet.

Uhmm I showed my enthusiasm way too fast [:-][:D].
Besides my game was started with v1.00.11a and those saves are not compatible with v1.00.
I'm afraid we will have to start again, but that's ok.

If you still have the previous installer then you could always uninstall the latest, reinstall that, and continue.
