Info Window Missing

I'll try to describe this issue. Towards the bottom of the main playing screen there is a smaller regional map.
Just above this map are two arrows pointing left and right. On each side of the arrows is an area that displays
small icons. I can see the icons to the right side of the arrows but the icons that belong on the left side are missing.
The dark background is present but the icons aren't. I read the manual and I can't find any mention of a hot key that might
be used to toggle it on/off, so I think this is a bug. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
