What do you do with the Wellington GR Mark XIII?

Has these radar masts on top. Must be good for something. What do you folks use these for?

Haven't got to late game to use them, but the database says they have an airborne radar but the bomb load is dialed back to 6 X 250 lb bombs.
I would use them on anti-shipping or ASW work to take advantage of the radar.

They were considering kamikaze attacks with proximity fuses. Not.

I always figured they'd be best for ASW and naval search. No idea if they work well in those roles, though (meaning I haven't bothered to pay attention).

GR - means General Reconnaissance. Wellingtons, Liberators and other planes marked as GR were usually used for Naval Search/ASW or some other combat related General Recon work (not Photo).

As the Mk.XIII was a Coastal Command version it should be particularly handy for ASW work. What the game does with
it is another matter.

They are excellent for search and ASW. I would not waste them in other operations.
