Another missing Polish corps

The Allies get an event to create a Polish corps from Poles in the USSR for use in the Middle East. No such corps ever appears.

The Polish corps that is formed in the Middle East with many of the Poles that left Russia forms in 1943, March or April I believe. In the game the DE is presented earlier, but the actual unit doesn't arrive until later.

There are in fact two Decisions, one for the Poles to decide whether to stay in the USSR or leave, and if they choose to leave (as they wisely did in real life) then the UK will later have a Decision to form them into a Corps.

The relevant decisions are DE 501 and DE 110. The first is the Polish Decision and the second is the British one. The second does require Kuwait to still be in Allied hands, as that is a way of ensuring that the Allies still have a foothold in the Middle East in March 1943, but apart from that I cannot see any reason why it wouldn't fire.

Unless of course the Poles chose to stay in the USSR?

If this doesn't feel right, can you let me know which campaign you're playing, as I've been checking the scripts for 1939 Storm over Europe.

It appears I was premature in claiming this event doesn't work, as I got the corps in April 1943. I was just expecting to get it earlier.

The Polish troops were in such a bad condition when they were evacuated from the USSR that it took a long time to get them into good health and fitness ready for service.
