Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm 2.0.11 Update

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Sadly, I must report that the lag is back with a vengeance.

It kicks in about half an hour into a game now, and paying attention to the task manager I see the game's memory consumption rapidly jump from 450 MB to 501 MB. An action phase becomes almost unbearable to watch as the fx animations take 3 times longer, the map movement that is supposed to be smooth becomes choppy and delayed, and the computer running the game calculations just seems to give up.

Keep in mind, only my FPRS.exe experiences this lag. Other programs I may have open simultaneously do not suffer the same slow down.
This has persisted into the 2.0.11s release, but it seems that no one else has my problems. I'm at a loss for what to do.

Sorry to hear your problems Stimpak, This may sound dumb, my Desktop is old so I do a disc defrag, full virus scan & clean up every weekend with my Avast antivirus. And I don't have other programs running in the background.

unsgnd, yes I concur arty feels like it has been tweeked, but then its how you use it as well (Concentrated) and Tank gunnery engagements are at longer (better) ranges.
Very happy with all the work that's gone into this latest patch, superb, great work Team!

Stimpak, can you start a thread in tech support for this lag and get us your systems specs and software that is running. A Dxdiag may get all of that. I am curious why you are seeing this. Hopefully we can find a solution.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
