can't download update

Hello,

So I just got WITW... and I see there's an update. I try to update, but the update client can't make a successful FTP request.
I thought it might be my firewall(s), so I disabled them and ran the update client with admin. Still nothing.

So I tried the web site.. and, same thing.. google chrome says "The ftp2.matrixgames.com page isn’t working", "ftp2.matrixgames.com didn’t send any data."

Any help please and thanks!

Sorry for your problem. Not sure if I can help, but could you tell us what version your computer says you have (what version is listed in the lower right on the main menu)? This might give someone else a clue to be able to help you. v1.01.37 is the most recent official version. The public beta version 1.01.48 has to be downloaded from the Member's Club.

I kind of found a fix. I had already downloaded the game and updates to my laptop, so I copied the patch folder to a flash drive and copied it over. Still no go on reaching the FTP server from my desktop... however, I'm wondering if its my ISP, because I've been having issues with s3.amazon.com occasionally?

Here is a link to the 1.01.37 Update. You can also get to it through the Members section, then choose Downloads for Registered Games. ftp://63939378039:49279563@ftp2.matrixg ... v10137.zip

It seems the update function works sometimes for me, and then it will go for a while where it doesn't work.

You can also access the beta update through the members section.

Thanks Rick, much appreciated. However, I did find those links and they're a no go. However, at least now I get an FTP authentication error (I guess my matrix login doesn't authenticate there).

Are you able to reach the standard public FTP server ?

Ah ha! Brilliant Denniss; I wasn't aware there was a public access link. That works nicely. Definitely bookmarking that.
