Bay of Biscay: the CW will fly four fighter units out of England into the 0-box. Spitfire II in Cardiff, Tomahawk P-40 and Hurricane II in Liverpool and Hurricane XII in Plymouth.

West Med: The allies will try to initiate using the French CA that was used for the interception.

JF42 i1: Naval Searches
BoB rolls 8/9 -> no contact

Bay of Bengal rolls of 2/8 resulte in JP finding with 13 SP (during surprise impulse).
Naval air and all for increasing damage is very excessive versus 1 CP.

JF42: Naval Searches
S. Ch Sea rolls of 10/3 -> no contact
E. In Oc rolls of 5/6 resulted in no contact
Cape Natu. roll of 6/2 resulted in no contact
Other Pacific combats options were against US CP's only and no combat allowed.

Allies initiated in W. Med, rolls of 2/1 resulted in both finding. Axis had 1 SP and they made it a Naval Air with an A applied. Rnd 2 coming next.

Rnd3 in W. Med
both find on searches of 4/1. Allies have 1 SP. Axis make it a naval air. The French BB makes its damage control roll versus the abort.

Rnd 4 went more the allied way. Rolls of 6/2 allowed the CW to choose a surface and increase damage on the 0-box alone to a D, which destroyed the convoy. I'm assuming you will stay. Let me know later if this needs to be redone.

rnd 5:
Axis found on a 1/6 with 7 surprise points.
Naval air and moved column up 3 to 2D A
FR BB saved on it's D,
FR CA failed it's D
CW CA failed it's A.
This time, because the CP was no longer available, I did not commit the FR sub. So, I'll have the allies abort the combat, which should leave the sub in the zone. There would have been no surface ships in the zone after this round anyway (The axis could have potentially sunk the FR CA with another damage).

I aborted the CW units to Malta.
The FR units could abort to Bone or Souse on the W. Med (out of supply). If they head to Syria, the German Condor in the E. Med could intercept. If it finds that could result in multiple rounds of combat in the E. Med.
What do you wish to do?

Please send the aborted French ships to Ajaccio, Corsica.

Question: were there any other Japanese MIL removed from the map when Japan got neutral (units whitout an R on the counter)? If so: I smell a bug, since all MIL which are removed when a major power revers to neutrality should be put in the reserve pool...
Peter,

I went back and checked.
Just before the Chinese surrender in MA41, all of the Japanese Miltia had been built. All but the Hiroshima were on the map, the Hiroshima had just been built and was on the spiral for arrival in MJ41. I also checked just after reinforcements in MJ41, at that point all the miltia (reserve and war labeled) were in the reserve pool except for the Hiroshima. Looking for it in the units menu, I found that it was under future force pool additions.

So, I suspect you are correct and there is a bug. I believe that all of these should have been placed back on the board once Japan was back at war since they had been built earlier. Let me know what saved game files you would like me to place in the Tech Forum.

I think the autosave from just before the DoW phase would be the one to be put in the Tech forum. If you check the Reserve Pool there, those MIL should be in that pool. If so: that's the one needed to fix this one.

Well, interestingly after all this was posted by Pat, he had a bad storm that knocked out power. When he got power back, his computer was fried. So, he's been spending the last week getting his computer back, MWiF loaded, updatde to the latest public beta and recreating the rolls and results that he last posted. He's close so we should be able to resume shortly. Like all of us, Pat has real life things that keep getting in the way of his MWiF time. I tell him not to stress about the game, take care of those "real life" things first and after that we can pick our game back up.

JF42 i1:
Finally finished getting at least this part of my computer life back to a workable stage and here are the results of the German attacks. JP attacks in next post. Thought I might have this in the morning, but I needed to find new apps/programs for the new computer and operating system to grab screen shots and organize them in a fashion that I could then post here. That took the better part of fours (I know, I know, I'm slow ...[;)]).

Luckily the Germans made the fractional on the first attack, which allowed it to be make the magic 23. In both cases the Germans were able to choose the Blitz table.

ND42 i1: Japanese attacks.
All of these are against notional units and are automatic during this surprise impulse. So, I'm not showing the full rolls, but only the images that will help people locate them. Note, three landing around the Bay of Bengal.

{edit: for those interested, the actual rolls were 10, 12, 8, 14, 11, 14 - pretty average}
