May/Jun 1941
Impulse: 1

Much to Arthur Harris' chagrin there is no Strategic Bombing

Aircraft also fail to take to the skies for the Ground Strike phase.

No rail movement either.....

Land movement - and at last we have some action:

China
Kunming Warlord moves one hex to SE of Kunming.
Chiang moves one hex W into Chihkiang.
1st Inf moves one hex E to hex 85,139

Soviet Union / Chinese Communists
The Soviets allow the ChiComms to monopolise their movement. Mao moves into a central position to aid supply and other units move up to try and re-build a solid defensive line at least two units deep.

USA
The Americans lands a garrison on Midway, while a division heads for Honolulu.

Re-base

CW
A South African fighter lands in Santa Cruz.
A Defiant rebases to Dover.
Two NAV are loaded, one each, aboard the carriers HMS Furious and HMS Hermes.

I didn't think I had anything that could be organized?

Just thought I'd check as it was left open. This is too crucial a stage of the game to leave to chance.

That being the case the impulse ends.

M/J 41 Axis 2

No DoW

Germany and Japan land, Italy combined

Italian NAV to East Med box 3 and CSV box 4. German FTR2, FTR3 and 3 Italian submarines to CSV box 2.

Italian Coast is declined, other two are different story.

Does Allies want to send more planes?

Lack of CW ships in the Mediterranean makes me think they are preparing for the inevitable: Gibraltar will fall this turn. I hope it does.

I will play East Med while waiting. Italy intercepts FTR to box 1.

Axis 1, Allies 8. This would have been a perfect roll in CSV.

Only box 3 is chosen. 2 points are used to negate AA. 6 points are used to increase damage up to X A.

One BB sinks. Who takes A? Axis stay, how about Allies?

Axis 9, Allied 5: Combat in East Med ends.

How about planes to CSV? See post above.

No thank-you. The tables will be turned and you will throw a 10 for the Axis and 1 for the Allies.

Axis 8, Allies 2. How do you want to play this?

And are you dancing a victory dance right now?

I think I am right in saying I can go for the 3-box only. This has to be a naval as there are no aircraft. If all that is true then I will use the surprise points to get the X on Gneisenau and then any left over to be used to reduce Allied damage please.

Choosing box 3 only would be:

Axis take X D A and Allies take nothing.

Gneisenau sinks.

Axis stay, I think Allies stay too?
