1.0.52 update has been posted - quick fix

Post by Tamas »

Hi Everyone,

There was one particular AI bug that slipped through the testing of 1.0.51. This has been fixed and we decided to do another quick update to fix it:
Fixed a bug: AI AFV will now exit the map through exit hexes during its Movement Segment

If you use the auto updater, it will update you to 1.0.52. Or you can download it manually from the Members Area

I have sent email to Tamas to fix the link, in the meantime just update your game using the auto updater feature.

with 52, I wanted to fix one AFV bug that rico21 found hence I asked matrixgames to release the hotfix. I have actually fixed the bug in the 51 but I forgot to remove some debugging information...anyways I'm now happy with the release of UPDATE2 package.

Sorry guys, link fixed! But I do recommend using the autoupdater as Peter suggested, it's much more convenient!

Me too, glad it's not just me.

Supplementary newbie question - all these mods for the game - they only change the look of the game not the rules/dice rolls etc?

I've never been able to update any Matrix games using the updater. I just get them from the Members Downloads section.

Yeah, I have multiple games yet not one will update due to error opening FTP file. The updater works well for letting me know if a new update is available but I have to download manually every time. Thanks Gerry for bringing this up. It's no big deal but maybe Matrix is unaware of the problem. SeeYa!

+1
Maybe the problem is if you use a second PC (Not IP recognize). The first of your PC used by net and box (IP recognize).

For what it's worth, I have found that if I shut down my firewall for the updater it seems to do OK. If I don't, I get the error message. I have McAfee and I don't think it plays well with the updater. Rather than drop my guard I'll usually just do the downloaded file update.

Exactly the same for me too.

I went through the updater error message but then it fixed itself and continued the update installation.

I know before you update the game you need to deactivate your mods with JGMSE, and put the game back to stock. Do I need to remove all third party scenarios from my scenario folder also?

Thanks.

No you don't need to remove any third party scenarios. Only files updated will be overwritten.
