Registering an account

Hi all

Ive been invited to play a multiplayer server game but I go to register as a new user and I get the pop up that says 'Transferred not enough data'

Does anyone know why this happens?

I bought this for a friend for a xmas gift, how do I release this to him so he can register it in his name
