Default filter last 365 days

These forums show by default only posts from the past 365 days. In some less busy forums this leads to almost no posts showing, for example:
www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=126
tt.asp?forumid=48

Would this be better to show a minimum of one page full of posts, or maybe more? At present it makes some games look virtually ignored, which for example can't help the impression give to a potential buyer.
