It looks promising. I wonder if Rutger Hauer will re-appear in some way [X(]

I wish they would come up with something new, instead of constantly re-hashing old themes. There are SO many things out there, but Hollywood no longer seems to have imagination [:(]

Without imagination there won't be another 'Bladerunner' [:(]

I think things where worse in the eighties and nineties for sequels

I don't see an issue here with Bladerunner..

Now the Star Wars film last year was an unimaginative undertaking with it being just a rehash of the very first movie..yawn..

Some things are better left untouched, although in Blade Runner case, I do think that the Final Cut is better than the theatrical version.
I'll wait and see.

Oh yes, many times. Phillip was one "unusual" guy.

There's no longer original thoughts in Hollywood. It's take an old movie & spruce it up w/ lots of special effects & maybe sex it up. There's been mention of redoing Lawrence of Arabia & the only way I can see them doing something original w/ that is exploring his supposedly risqué interwar yrs before his death. There's no way a remake of the original could do as well or stand beside the original.

The only path for Hollywood to take in making an original film would be to depict a man/women completely virtuous who sought only good, God and countries welfare. Would fail, they could never get the virtue thing right

There ARE original thoughts - but getting them funded by the powers that be is much harder than reboots of series that once made money and have a core of fans. It is a fact that most films lose money. Investors and studios prefer to minimize their risk, especially when there are so many big budget films competing for the same audience. [:(]
