Air Directives Shenanigans

Post by reggimann »

Hi all

Getting back into WitW after a break and I can't figure this out: 1944 D-Day scenario as Axis, I'm manually creating ADs. I set a SUPERIORITY AD over the Gran Sasso mountains near Rome. No air groups can make it because of range, as stated using the "No Fly Info" option. OK, so I try to transfer a few groups closer. I chose the II./JG 77 group from the north and want to transfer it to Ciampino using the CTRL-Rightclick method descibed in the players handbook ("Quick Air Transfer Functionality" in 5.3.4.2) while having the unit selected. This does not work, it just exits out of the AD screen (as a right click does without CTRL as well).

So I go about transfering my BF-109s manually, which works great. They have traveled 5% after their transfer. I switch back to the AD and what do I see: Still not in range.

Am I slow today or what's going on?
Thanks guys, any help is appreciated.

First of all try setting a different staging base as that can help.

Having moved your air groups it is no surprise they still won't reach as the movement to the new base has been taken into account and they don't get extra for moving. The distance needed for the turn hasn't changed.

That does make sense, thank you. So the "traveled" value of 5% has a different meaning in this case?

Edit: Do you by chance have any info regarding the "Quick Air Transfer Functionality" not working for me?
