FIXED - Command LIVE modules install issue

Post by IPWinsor »

Hi,

So i installed Command 1.10 with NI from scratch, then patched to 1.11 SR6a. Now I am trying to install the 4 Command LIVE modules, but each one will not run because they say I do not have the required patch level for installation. When I start command, the top bar says I have Version 1.11 SR6 Build 870.4.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

On the main Command screen, upper left corner, does it say v1.11 Service Release 6?
Your screen shot seems to think it is on 1.11.5

Just noticed you mentioned that it did show the correct version in Command screen.

You don't have more than one installation of Command on the PC? I suspect that the registry is out of date with your install. You could try installing the patch again, making sure that it is showing your installation directory being updated.

Hi and thanks for the response. This all started because I did have 2 command install folders (one was CMANO and the other was Command Game Of The Year) so I uninstalled everything, deleted all directories and shortcuts and then reinstalled from scratch. The top bar of the game definitively says 1.11 SR6 870.4. The screen shot I posted is the error message I get when I try to install the LIVE module. Your comment about the registry being wrong or duplicate is a good one. I did not check the registry for old entries to dete before reinstalling. I will report back.

Thanks

I was not able to locate any registry settings pertaining to Command. I reapplied the patch; no joy.

If you have a 64 bit Windows version, do the following:

1. Uninstall the game and check if you have still have any CMANO folders left and delete them,
2. Download the file attached (CMANO_X64_Uninstall.zip) and unzip it.
3. Run the extracted file (CMANO_X64_Uninstall.reg) and allow the "program" to delete/edit the game Windows registry keys.
4. Download the game file installer (CommandMANO-CommandNI-SetupRelease-v110.zip) from your member's area.
5. Once you have downloaded the file please unzip it. Run the extracted file to install the game.
6. Please download and install the last update from the link below:
http://ftp.us.matrixgames.com/pub/Comma ... 11SR6a.zip
7.Unzip the downloaded file. Run the extracted file to update the game.
8. Install the Live DLCs

OK, I did all of the above. My top bar of my newly reinstalled CMANO says Command v1.11 Service Release 6 - Build 870.4. All registry entries say 1.11.6a But the DLCs all say I need to patch, as shown in the pic attached.

As an off-chance, run regedit and search all for the reported version - 1.11.5
and see if it finds that under some entry?

Thanks, but there is nothing. Only the 1.11.6a registry entries.

I'm sorry but the last patch 1.11SR6a is broken.
I'll report this to production.

As workaround please download and install the previous patch 1.11SR6 from the link below:
http://fs.slitherine.com/data/public/d1e469.php

Just install over the last patch and ignore the error message about the higher version.
You can then install the Live DLCs.

We apologize for all the inconvenience.

Looks like we made a mistake when "naming" the patch. To fix it, we have re-designated it as 1.11.6.1

If you have the above issue, you can get 1.11.6.1 from the Members Area

This patch is identical to the .6a one, so no need to update from that otherwise. We will replace .6a with .6.1 in the autoupdater very soon.

We are sorry for the inconvenience!
