Hi Zap,

This is not a real time game in any way. It is fully turn based with one player doing his whole turn (which can take an hour, or more) and then giving a save file to the next player. There is nothing for other players to see during the phasing player's turn. In a complex multiplayer game (e.g. GD1938) you might wait a week, or more, before it will be your turn again.

I may have misinterpreted your question, but with fog of war included there would be nothing much to see even if you could dedicate so much time to looking.

I've been playing awhile and have never seen a reference to "Net".

cpdeyoung,

I did not word my question correctly. What I wanted to say was on install there was a message which seemedto indicate that I needed to load net play(maybe I don't have it on my computer) As I started the game up I had a small black screen with some code. Also an error message saying the game would play but it may malfunction. Or play improperly. Net is required for the game?

I'm sure this is a reference to Microsoft's .Net framework. It is very likely your PC already has a version of .Net on it. If the game is working then you don't need to worry about it. If not, then ensure you have the the latest .Net Framework installed.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Its instructions I don't understand

Update. The strangest thing happened windows did an update, it looks like whatever file was missing was put back with the update. So that now when I start up the game it goes through the gfx process and does not freeze up. So to conclude, the game is now functioning correctly.
