PBEM Game, random

Post by balto »

Considering that I have not played this in many years and when I played AT I was never a master of the rules (YouTube did not exist back then), I consider myself a NEWB.

Is there another NEWB that would like to play a Random PBEM game? Starting the evening of 1-5-17, I can do a LOT of turns until work kicks in again on Monday. When work begins, I would be limited to probably only 1 or 3 turns a night (USA, Eastern Standard time).

I also would like to do the random scenario, with Stone Age technology, mirror, and low resources, FOW, with some water, (I cannot remember the rest of the settings).., But it is the exact set up the DasTactic used on his latest YouTube tutorial - which is great.

PS – tortugapowers tutorial is also great, but I like DasTactics scenario generator that he used.

Thanks in advance for consideration.

Hi Hatem, thank you. I will IM you with my email. I could not find any directions on PBEM so here is what I did. I set the game up with two humans (forgot what nationalities popped up) and then I hit PBEM and PASSWORD. I put in my PASSWORD and the turn ended. I was not able to do anything. It has been a century since I PBEM'ed, but I believe that is the correct process on other PBEM games. If it does not work, please let me know what I did wrong so I can figure that out.

This is the setting in the (DasTactics) YouTube. We have one town, mirror, FOW, very little resources, and Stone Age tech with the map showing. It is easier for me to digest without a lot of stuff going on.

If you want to set up a game with settings you like, send them to me and we can play both simultaneously. Please keep it low tech and no Shroud, I am feeling a little overwhelmed right now but I will catch on.

PS - I love your 1-3 turns a day pace. That is perfect for me, especially Monday thru Friday.

I sent you a PM with my email.

I think I had a flashback. I was able to load my turn (after I zipped it) to the PM feature. I do not remember that being a capability from years ago, but half of me does remember that. Anyway, check around my PM and see if it worked. If not, let's just use email.

Thanks again.

Weekend is here. So I can pump out a lot of turns through Monday.

Anybody interested? Thanks for reading.

PS - like myself, I think a lot Matrix guys forgot how incredible this game is. I think ATG and the DC series are the best of all wargames. So take the time to revisit this masterpiece with me.

Come on guys, take your ATG off the shelf and fire it up with me. You won't regret it. Besides, I need a break from Sanctus Reach - I can't stop playing that damn game.

Nice, I sent you the turn via the IM feature on Matrix. I hope I did this correctly. It is PBEM password, mirror, random, etc.,

The weekend is here, anyone ready for another PBEM? I can crank out some turns until Monday when work kicks back in, then I go back to one turn an evening (or slower if you want).

Thanks
