Both Bommerang and I were able to log into the MWiF Netplay forum. We saw each other's names on the far left list. I posted a players wanted post. I was not able to communicate with bommerang other than responding to his post in players wanted. Bommerang sent me a request to play within the system, but I did not receive it.

My login name at Netplay is the exact same as my login at Matrix/Slitherine. However, Bommerang does have a different name on Netplay...could this be the problem?

Same thing happened to me. I was not able to send messages to celebrindal (or anyone) in the netplay forum. We used Skype to communicate. I was able to join the game though when prompted.

To send messages to others in the NetPlay Forum, you need to click on the Seeking Post radio button. Then type in the message and click on the Seeking Opponent Reply button.

I doubt it matters whether you have the same username/password as on the forums. What was set up originally just needs to match your Netplay registration text files. I have played bommerang beta test NetPlay turns in the past and we both have different usernames than on the forums, and we had very few problems linking up. When we did, they weren't due to the NetPlay server AFAIR.

It is however important when starting a game that you use the NetPlay usernames when entering sides!

Ok, it turns out I probably had the reply box hidden behind some forms. This time I started the game and Bommerang was able to join.
