How do I get the game of Steam?

I hate Steam!! Just saying!!

OK I bought this game because it looks interesting - did not pay attention to the fine print that said I would need to use Steam. If I had - I wouldn't have bought the game!

So I go to Steam - reinstall the evil tracking 'monitoring everything I do with my life' software but I cannot find anywhere I can download or activate the game I have already paid for. All that's there is freaking advertising!

Did I mention that I hate Steam!!

Can anyone help me out?

Please follow these instructions to activate a new retail purchase on Steam:

1, Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.

2, Click the Games Menu.

3, Choose Activate a Product on Steam...

4, Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

i have bought a steam version.
but i don't like recent changes of the method of updating of steam client. it forces any games in user library to be updated anyway.
(there was "no update" settings for each games in the past but gone now.)

is there any chance to get non-steam version for steam version user ?
i know non-steam version's download will start after leaving EA.

is the game out of early access? As i remember there supposed to be a non-steam version available when the game leaves early access and the product page says so.

There is no mention of Steam in the requirements. I realize you had to have it to do Early Access but is it still required?

Steam is no longer required. However, the game is sold still in beta.
