Okay - I'm back in 45mins. If you are absolutely sure then Orm can carry on when he's back - but genuinely we don't mind with one of the options above.

It feels the right thing to do, so carry on as we are.

If you want, you could post a copy of the game, and I could use the debug tools to move the Belgian air unit to wherever you want it to move using the debug tools.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Thanks Courtenay.

If Warspite1 or Orm can post the game, then please move the Belgium fighter to the hex west of Antwerp.

Is the debug tool safe? For the small number of goes why don't I just re-create the turn?

This is taking a longer than I thought. I am downloading 2.3.4.0, and it is taking much longer than I expected. Will be done in about 15 minutes, according to my computer.

We are still using 2.2.0. Will that create any compatibility problems with 2.3.4?

It might come to that (or just carrying on as we are) as I'm not sure a debug under 2.3.4 will be compatible with 2.2.0.

Am going to be unavailable for the next hour and a half or so.

Courtenay, big thanks for the offer but with the versions being different I would rather take the time to recreate the turn. Thanks anyway.

Here you are. This took longer than I thought it would, because I stupidly tied up the download capability of my computer, and had to wait for the first down load to finish before I could download the game file.

Right here is the revised map as at the end of the German movement phase. The only change is the moving of the fighter - all other moves and dice throw results are as per previous posts.

Jan/Feb 1940
Impulse: 1 (Axis) - end of German Land Movement

This replaces the map in post 307.

I'll begin with the remainder of our impulse shortly.

Edit: I'll mail you a save for the land combats in a few minutes.

The 'Celere' Corps move two hexes toward the French border. The Eritrea territorial move two hexes West.

In South-Central China the Japanese forces march westwards into the highland.

Jan/Feb 1940
Impulse: 1 (Axis)

Land Combat
The German plan is to make two attacks - against Antwerp and Liege. The former position looks formidable with the 1st, 4th and 7th Infantry Divisions of the Belgian I Corps holding the river line from the coast southwards, with II Corps' 6th and 11th Divisions on their right flank. 14th Division is held back as the Army reserve.

In the vanguard of the German attack are two infantry divisions - the 1st and 11th - of von Both's I Corps. With all bridges blown, the aim is to probe for weak spots that can be attacked by infantry and assault engineers. The key will be getting as many infantry across as possible to create bridgeheads on the west bank. The quick construction of pontoons to allow motorised units across is vital to ensure the defenders have no chance to consolidate - which would give them time for the BEF and French armies to reinforce the Dyle.

In Liege the 1st and 2nd Cavalry Divisions hold a more precarious position - and much will depend on the effectiveness of Fortress Eben Emael in delaying or halting the German attack. The Chasseurs Ardennais, attached to 2nd Cavalry Corps and holding the southern sector, are spooked by the sudden appearance of the Gross Deutschland Regiment - the lead elements of XLI Panzer Corps - behind their position.....

Land Combat (Cont)

No HQ Support, but Ju-88 of KG2 and KG3 are called on to support the infantry assaults east of Antwerp. This assists the attackers who find the Belgian defenders in no mood to give up their dug-in positions without a fight.

To the south, the position in Liege starts off badly and heads south dramatically. The Belgian Cavalry are simply overwhelmed by the initial assault on their positions from Oberleutnant Hermann Balck's 1st Schutzen Regiment in the vanguard of 10th Panzer Division. The Belgian positions simply unravel from there as unauthorised withdrawals undermine those defending grimly along the Albert Canal. The battle for Liege is essentially over within a few hours.
