There is no ToE in PBEM?

This is my first PBEM of this game. The TOE buttons are not available, but they are when I play the AI. That is one of my favorite aspects of this game.

Did I set up the PBEM incorrectly or is this a Bug?

If this is the way it is, is there someway I can set up a PBEM with the ToE?

I am crossing my fingers on this, it took me over a month to figure out how that GREAT feature works.

PS - I have the STEAM version, could that be it?

TO&E should be available in a PBEM game if both players have a version of the game that supports it. You must, of course, have based your PBEM game on the anewdawn3.at2 file. The other game modes do not support TO&E.

Hi Webizen. Can you bear with me on this. When I set it up, I clicked the RANDOM GAME button because that is all I know how to do. Is there a path or set of instruction I can use to diagnose this situation?

I really really would like to play future PBEMs with that bad-ass TOE feature.

Okay, my bad. I had not set up a random game in several weeks and I believe I incorrectly clicked on "Standard Random" game, at least I hope that is what I did wrong. I should have clicked "A New Dawn Random Game."

Speaking of which, I just realized I never clicked on "Alt Gfx Random." What is that?

Standard ATG - generic.at2 (no officers/tank models/TO&E)
Standard w/officers, tanks models and TO&E Designer - anewdawn3.at2 (v2.21k and up)
Alt Map Graphics (no officers/tank models/TO&E, no climate options) - generic2.at2
Classic (old AT game) - classic.at2

Wow, not only is that super super super useful - I did not know you are a co-God of ATG. Thank you for all of your incredible effort. I bought this (and the original) years ago and stopped. When I started playing this again about 1.5 months ago, I was so overwhelmed with all of the changes I guess I did not read your thread religiously.

Again, thank you for making this game one of the top 10 in the universe.

PS - why would anyone choose to not use TOE? That is like buying a Mercedes and not wanting the engine. You do not have to answer that, I am just saying..,

PPS - DasTactic's recent YouTube really helped me understand the changes. I highly recommend it for the intellectually challenged, such as myself.

No ATG god here. I'm a big fan of the game and have done a few things to help others. That said I could easily name several ATG gamers that are much more talented than me and have created amazing mods. Lastly, Vic is the true hero for creating this classic and continuing to support it even though it will soon be six years old.
