Fresh meat!

Post by K62_ »

Hello there SPW@W veterans! As you have probably noticed, I'm new to this forum. And what do you know, I am looking for an opponent!:D

So here I am: I've only been playing against the computer so far. I began to win regularly against it, so I guess I'm looking for a beating right now :p

Don't be afraid, I'm a very nice loser. I will congratulate you for your victory and maybe even tell everyone on the forum what a smart way you found to kick my a$$.;)

I prefer: all options on except command and (something?); medium sized meeting encounter; decent visibility; 10% arty; no infiltrators; no reinforcements; no air. Oh, and I guess you should also provide a map or something.;)

So step right up and get it while it's fresh! First come first served, second come gets nada: I don't have time for two games since I'm also involved in other wargames as well.

Let's see what you got!

Well... you see... that's a problem :o How do I set up a new game? I dunno anything about that. What makes a good map etc. How about you do me a favor since this is my first time around and set it up for me? :) I think I prefer US or USSR and what I already said... but it's negotiable ;)

All right mr Cyricist sir... I have a couple of questions for you:

What does cyricism mean and who practices it?!

What's an M39 and is it related to an M3 or an M9?!

Of what, or whom, should I be afraid, then again, be very afraid and why?!

:D

Oh, yes! My desire for a quick and humiliating defeat is rapidly coming true! Oh joy, oh joy!:)

Thank you, sir! Britain '44, sir! With the above conditions and email address, if you don't mind, sir! Oh, and I really hope you take the Krauts and not the Japs, sir, since I'm even more completely and utterly inexperienced in jungle warfare

And it's really an honour to play the, IIRC, 2002 World Champion

Why, if I was a ringer I would at least call myself JJHunter and speak Japanese, wouldn't I?!:D

Everything is OK with your map, sir, except let's limit the infiltrators to 1 platoon. You're the only one who's gonna use them anyways and I don't wanna lose too much arty :(

Let's rock!

Cyricism is the religion of Cyric, who is a non existant fantasy God of lies, strife and complete insanity, taken from a Dungeons and Dragons setting.

The DAF (van Doorn's Automobiel Fabriek) M39 was the latest armored car made by and for the Dutch armed forces in the late 1930s and used in the defense against the German invaders in 1940. Later the Germans (as you can see in the banner picture) adapted the few captured M39s to their own use.

There is absolutely no relation to any American armored car whatsoever. :D

The accompanying text is a mere jest on this vehicle, since it didn't really help keep the Germans out of Holland..
