I like the two in the background.

Soldier on Right: If I stand perfectly still, like I've got a long lance torpedo inserted up my bottom, he won't realise I've swapped brief cases

Soldier on left: I'm sure this girly manbag is not mine??

I do think Ron would do a fine job playing Khalid Sheikh Mahammed

Something is going on with those briefcases.

I rather suspect that he is somewhat wary of holding a briefcase that belongs to a Gorn.

I just think the whole picture is weird. Two jokers are taking a break from this soldiering malarchy to fart about over a couple of manbags, meanwhile odd job has been splashed with mud by a passing tank. But no one is confronting the elephant in the room..... well a gorn in a pair of gloves at any rate...

It's just my lunch. A slab of putrified whale blubber sprinkled with cockroaches and crickets between two slices of Limburger. I don't eat bread, after all.

Good film.
'Escape From New York' was directed by Ms. Barbeau's then husband. Probably just a coincidence as she is a fine actor.

Today's events have proven the dark side of the force is in ascendance. Everyone meet up at Hoth where we will assign committees to analyze today's failure and plan for the next one.

AKA the only and one John Carpenter. But I think that they met when Ms. Barbeau was already an accomplished actress.

Sometimes husband&wife teams actually do work. Daria Nicolodi - who was Dario Argento's wife (and remained a good friend of him after their separation) was an uncredited script doctor for a lot of Argento's movies. She is even openly credited for writing "Suspiria", for crying out loud! [&o]

And, think what you want about the couple and/or their movies, but Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich have a near flawless track record together: every Resident Evil movie was a commercial success (full disclosure: I consider them my guilty pleasure [:D]) Interestingly enough, RE2 came out when they were still engaged, and the Milla was so unhappy with the result that she left Anderson. RE2, as it happens, is dire. Only when RE3 put the series back on track she reunited with her future husband.

[Way to go, Milla!: you do not sleep with a director to have a part - you stop sleeping with a director when he/she works badly. Hollyood would be better should everyone follow this rule [:D]]

Go to an ice planet? Where we'll sit on pointless committees? Plan for the next failure as we misinterpret the lessons from today's? Were you on the faculty at the University of Minnesota as well? [&:]

I used to have at least one RIDGID calendar. If I find it I'll scan some of it for you. They don't make those anymore, too sexy, er... sexist. They make and made only tools for plumbing and pipefitting. They sold the rights to the name for use making power tools etc. for other fields.

I believe one of them had Ruth Guerri in it. We went to the same high school, I was a senior when she was a junior. I never really interacted with her but one time I was at the end of the lunch line and she came sauntering up to the line wearing a sweater in a fashion you might have seen Suzanne Somers do, with her hands up about as high as the top of her head and certain parts jiggling nicely. She was in Playboy a lot and did a lot of calendar work for various ad agencies around the world. Here she is:
