I bought this game for the sole purpose to create mod of Vietnam. I convinced myself I would figure it out and do it. Well after spending a whole evening playing with the editor I realized I was hopeless.

I thank you for your work and hope you can somehow include all the scenarios. Looking forward to this.

Also, how difficult is it to create custom scenarios? I have not looked at editor In long time but remember it not being very friendly.

I'm posting a step by step tutorial on how to create a scenario here: tm.asp?m=4228406&mpage=1&key=

You're welcome.

I finished the basic tutorial to create a scenario.
I only hope someone will do the adaptation of the scenarios of the original boardgame of Heroes of the Pacific because for now I still have not received a private message with a scan (or even a simple photo taken with A smartphone) of these ...
For the other boardgames, I have them all and I could do the adaptation myself.
Obviously, it would go faster if other people created it too.

The battle generator works fine i hope.
But the battles generated do not have as much taste for reality as the basic scenarios.

It does not matter, I would find a way to create scenarios.
It's just a shame that Heroes of the pacific is still in pre-order at lock'n'load publishing (and they are not fast for reprints), otherwise I would have re-bought... Just to perfect my collection, Now that I know I can play it against a computer.

Excellent!

Well done!

@Acropora:
Copy the entire HOS folder and paste to another drive.
Rename the folder.
Copy and paste the modded files into the new folder.
make a shortcut of the exe to the desktop.
Rename the shortcut.
Play.

This worked for me.

On the Heroes of Pacific instruction is clearly written that the transition from tripod to bipod of a MG is possible during the rally ph.
Encouraged by this i went to HoS and ,finally,i discover that cliking with the left button of the mouse on the MG counter,it change from tripod to bipod.Discovered a little late but better than never.Maybe it was better to write this on the instruction book.

Maitrebongo,i have sent to you 2 mail but i don't know where are,not in the box.
Anyway the question is:in the pacific scenario ,there are bunker and cave but none of this counter are present in the mod provided.
It is a forgetfulness? How the game can load this counter if are not in the Art folder or mod folder?

I have not received your messages in my inbox.
Bunkers and caves are actually elements of the board and could be placed in the F1 menu of the editor.
To activate the bunkers you must cycle on the hex with the W key (as for the barbwire) until you see the bunker counter, and declare the nature of the terrain as a bunker.
To activate the caves, it is necessary to cycle on the hex with the S key (as for the foxholes) until you see the cave counter.

You can download it on the first post of this thread.

Have fun and enjoy it. [:)]

Note that now the version numbers of the different modules are entered.
As improvements are made, they will be updated.
