Visual glitches under Win7?

I've installed this game on a couple of Win10 computers with no problems, but when I installed it on a Win7 computer, I got some weird graphics glitches:
1) In the "Options" screen, options only appear when the mouse is directly on that option--otherwise it is all white; and
2) in the set up phases for games, the right half of the screen is blank.

Has anyone seen this before? Any idea how to resolve?

I had the earlier versions of v1.21 running OK on my old Win7 laptop last summer. Other than verifying WinXP SP3 compatibility is set and perhaps rebooting, not sure what else to suggest other than another clean install.

I fixed it, it looks like I had to install the interim patch as well.
