Be able to play all the original Lnl boardgames in this game

Get ready for Mark H. Walker's Lock ‘n Load: Heroes of Stalingrad. This is the first complete computer game in the Lock ‘n Load series, covering the battles in and around Stalingrad during World War II.

Once again, you're welcome ... [:)]

Some here have requested this mod as a priority. I am pleased to please them.

I am currently finishing the West Front late war mod as well as an Afrikakorps add on and a very huge East Front Entire War mod ...
When this is done, we will have almost everything we need to simulate any battle on any front of the Second World War.

Afterwards, I will try to publish all the original scenarios of the gameboard corresponding to these mods or to work on new mods WW1 or post WW2.

I remain convinced that this game can largely take the place of ASL (which was never really adapted on computer) with simpler rules and especially an artificial intelligence convincing enough to take pleasure in playing against computer.
What was missing in HoS so far is a greater comprehensiveness in countries and theaters of operations.
This is less and less the case.

Anyway is a shame that this game is no more supported.I have done a mod with value for the AFV more close to ASL.I have value very close to ASL to be applied but after discovering a bug in the mud condition i have stopped any work waiting some patch.
The bug consists in the fact that confuses AFV armor value with mud movement value.

I think we must give up all hope of seeing the developers change the game engine. We are left to ourselves and we will have to find solutions on our own.

My philosophy is: 'when you encounter a problem that nobody can fix, bypass it or do with it...'

...i'm interested to view the Pacific and Blitzkrieg.

I have many other projects in my drawers ...

Battle of Mosul

Afghanistan

Grozny

Crimea

Arnhem

Berlin 45

Afrika Korps

Israël/arabian wars

...

You can really do a lot of things with this game engine ...

Our mistake at the start (3 years ago) was to want to make it as an all in one game.
It is a real headache because of the limitation of the 8 separate nations for example.

I now think that it should be considered as separate modules (much like the original boardgames or Advanced Squad Leader): a module for each period or front.
Arnhem

anything to do with Arnhem or the falklands etc, as their my fav battles [&o]

Thanks for all your work maitrebongo. The mod packages and your editor tutorial have just brought a great game back to life! I was a beta tester for HoS and was both disappointed and mystified at how quickly interest in this game died out, and how quickly the developers abandoned it. There was always a lot of potential behind this title and it appears that a small community has sprung up again to keep things going. Great job to all that have been creating new content (*cough* Rico)!

Now, if only people would show an interest in some online play (another dimension to this game that surprisingly never took off)...

Just stumbled on this today. I can't even begin to thank you enough for this! I just loaded up the game after a break of couple of months...hard drive crash with a lot of other priorities to get back, like my entire steam library of 150+ games :). I was actually playing the board game of LnL last night, and once again I thought "man, how awesome would it be if they could update the computer game", never in a million years figuring that someone already did it. Once again, thanks man! If this place had geek gold, you'd get a 50gg tip.

One question about the editor, if you don't mind. How do I load an existing map? I have physical copies of all the LnL modules except Heroes of the Pacific, so I thought I'd spend some time setting up some of my favorite scenarios for the different modules you did. I know enough of the editor to place units & reinforcements, but I've forgotten how to load an existing map into the editor.
The only problem with a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.
