I think I forgot one naval move or two because of sentry. Could you give me a minute and I will mail you a new save.

Sure. It will take some 10 to 30 minutes. Or so I suspect. I had a break for dinner so I haven't looked at this.

I further suggest that USSR cancels any and all trade deals they have with Germany.

The USSR-Germany trade deals are mandatory, not voluntary. Unless you mean that the USSR should declare war on Germany, which would certainly cancel the trade deals.

It was just some hinting that it was about time that the Soviet Union should fully join the Allied side. No real relevance to the actual trade deal.

Edit: Thank you for keeping me straight. [:)]

Impressive manoeuvrings in China old fruit.

As for the future, I wonder if they are not going to attack the Soviet Union? Seems strange that they put two Stukas in western Germany?

Alternatively they will attack - to get Romania in - but the focus will remain on kicking the Allies out of Spain.

If I was them I would wait for the Soviets to get impatient and march up to the border (to get the right garrison nos.) and then attack.

If they don't attack I will need to do that regardless of the risk.

Subject to the dreaded god of dice (did you see my naval search throws???) the position in Manchuria looks good.

Question is - do we head for Spain with the US reinforcement or perhaps drip feed reinforcements into Northern Spain, and meanwhile try and unlock Sardinia and Corsica via Algeria? A lot to be said for the latter approach I think, as it widens the area that the Axis have to garrison.

Mmmmm the more I think about it, the more I wish I had simply brazened it out. If the Germans wanted to declare war in the winter without aircraft then good luck to them. At least my units would have been in position to turn the tables if the dice worked right (although the latter is a somewhat big if! [;)])

I seem to be an absolute Jonah [&:] I get a bit of success sinking a sub - and am now, in a far more important sea area, on the receiving end of a 1/10 and losing the air to air. FFS.

I couldn't even get an abort to help the next round. And of course Ramillies is sunk.

I can only apologise.

However. A think we need a new policy. Time to end the Axis air supremacy in the BoB and CSV. If they want to attack our supply link in the 0-box then we should strive to have at least as many defending aircraft as they have attacking aircraft. And having bombers or naval bombers that can be used to soak up losses if need be.

The Spanish PARTisans will arrive eventually. Is the 'Blue' division available yet to land on a Partisan coast hex to grab a port? That would blow the Spanish theater wide open. Land the division, move the PART out, land a CW Corps; next impulse move the division out and land the Yankees.

Rinse and repeat as needed in France, also, except there you will need a Free French division.

Germany rebase the Stukas towards Spain. That was sort of expected considering where they were placed on the map. But it is always nice to get confirmation.

May I suggest that USSR stack the border as much as possible? At least makes a count of what is possible to get as garrison ration for next turn. It could get interesting.
