[RESOLVED] Won't launch

I purchased through steam a while back and just starting to get to play. The game is installed and I just
ran the integrity check as suggested in a thread here.

When starting the game, I get a popup window that says the steam client is not running so the game will not
start. But it is running. I know this, for example, because other games will start without a problem.

Please help.

I'd uninstall and reinstall from steam. Please let us know how it goes.

I reinstalled this morning and it's still good. Thank you for the tip but I feel like it was so basic that I should have thought of it.
