IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT MULTIPLAYER

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

I've never played any of these type games in multiplayer mode. In a sentence or two, can anyone enlighten be how it will/might work? Also, is "multi" two, or can a bunch of players play in a multigame?

Thanks for any replies,

I still remember our Commander Great War Games Freeboy. I look forward to trying take you on in Multiplayer. I played SC1/2 since 03 so you better sharpen your bayonet.

I think this may be the best 2 player game for fun factor, but we will see, I am in recovery from a sevear illness and have today, and perhaps for a bit, a great deal of time to send and recieve turns..
Prepare for the unexpected!

Just put it out here for all of us as a beta patch. I'm sure plenty of people will help test it.

I persuaded my boss to buy this game and promised it would be ready to play soon. Now I am worried he will start making unfavorable comparisons with my performance at work.

Hello

What is the problem with getting multiplayer up and running? It's been 3 months since the game was released and it was promised within "weeks" of the release of the game.

Apologies everyone, between getting quite sick, the holidays and then some technical issues, this has taken longer than even I would have preferred but on a more positive note we should have something soon as it is just wrapping up on our end.

I appreciate everyone's patience and apologize again for the delay.

Hello Hubert.

I am with the rest of the folks posting here that health comes first. But I will hazard to ask based on your reply here what does soon mean? What is the technical issue that needs to be fixed? Surely multiplayer is not something new and difficult for Slitherine or Matrix to make operational? What is the issue really?

Unforeseen technical issues on my end (having my code and saved game files play nice with the PBEM++ server) that unfortunately took time to resolve, but all sorted out now which finally allowed us to move forward.
