PBEM improvements

I see there is an effort to get netplay working efficiently however given the time zone differences with a lot of players I reckon it would be better to make the game more PBEM friendly.

Would it be much trouble to make it easy to PBEM?

Could you setup players emails at the start so die rolls get emailed to each player as they are rolled?

Make some of the phases consecutive to reduce the number of saves that need to be sent.

Only a suggestion I have no idea what is involved in making this happen. All I know is I playing a couple of guys in the US vs me in Australia almost cancels playing netplay except maybe the occasional weekend.

My guess is any official effort to make the game PBEM-friendly will come at some point after the AI is fully functional. In other words, never. It's obvious the programmer has other priorities and that's understandable. I play the game exclusively over email and by agreeing on some common sense procedures my partner and I have been able to play 26 turns in 8.5 months. We play asynchronously every day and it has been a lot of fun. Pete

Yes I am playing PBEM and find it quite good. Too me it would be much easier to get it working for PBEM play.
