File association in my Windows config is ok - .msi = Windows Installer, .ppt = Powerpoint.

But my Firefox treats your linked file as "RHS Installer.msi.ppt" :

Thx guys - the file extensions have been set to "hidden" on my machine, after changing the option I was able to erase the .ppt part.

FYI..I have no issues downloading the file with Firefox either.

In the past couple of weeks I have tried to send PM's to Sid thru the Matrix forum site and both times got mail failure messages from Slitherine.
A few years ago it was a problem with Sid's carrier.
Have reported this problem to the Matrix web admin's just in case...

What do I have to do with Pwzlink file? There is only for winter such as 'RHS41WINTER, RHS42WINTER', so when the winter gone, do I have to change it with the 'Top level Pwzlink' named as 'pwzlink'? [&o]

Copy and rename to pwzlink.dat (I think it's .dat) and move to the top level AE folder and replace the older one. I think Sid has some documentation within the RHS Docs folder that describes the process, and the dates to make the change....GP

Sid has been involved in a historical thing about declassified very early nuclear project stuff. I can't remember all of the details. Let me know if you don't hear anything and I'll try to contact him....GP

TY GP...I think I sent my e mail to him maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago and he usually gets back with me?
I had worked with him on RHS 1 as well, and that was maybe 5-6 years ago?

I was one of those "givverment" investigators at one point, and have some interesting talents in locating, contacting, etc....but as posted, nothing at present...

Update..With the help of our friend General Patton, I was able to speak with our friend Sid last night and in his words "I am fit, do not even take aspirins, and never felt better".
Sid (as usual) is busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest, and while I have collaborated with him off and on for years, I had never spoken with him by phone.

Gadzooks!!!..This man is a genius!..
I have a pretty high I.Q. myself, (if my Dean of Boys in High School can be considered truthful as he explained his angst over my many fights in HIS cafeteria, LOL), and always felt myself pretty fortunate, since education has nothing to do with it.

Sid is so far beyond that level and once his good health was confirmed, he immediately went onto a verbal recitation of his research, (game related), as if he were somehow still on the same topic he last posted!!!
While he has always impressed me with info he has brought to the game, last night I was served an exclusive treatise on atomic research done by Japan, and as Sid spoke, he was rattling off his many sources, printed and verbal.

I remember maybe 6-7 years ago, some folks here on the forum, (mostly no longer with us), were calling Sid a "phony", but I am positive this is not the case by any means.
Sid's genius is so high, personal matters are entirely too mundane for him to even waste time with.
I brought that matter up and he paused a millisecond, before he proceeded to quote some more sources regarding info from books which no longer exist!.
Like me, Sid has a huge personal library, and he apparently gathers rare books when quoted by some of his other books.

While I have always been a cheerleader for WITP mods, and CHS and RHS in particular, I have never till now really appreciated the minds which have contributed to this game.

I am truly humbled.[X(]

I never understood why they made Sid swallow that vitriol [&:] That was not a life threatening /national security issue. It's just a game -that we love, ok, but just a bloody game FFS! [:D]

Redownloading the latest update, as the Gulf Coast hex was not working (pwhex thing).

I added the ARD-2 class floating dry docks to my copy and Sid made all the off maps work perfectly from this most recent file.
He also named one place "Northern Midwest...which I might rename "Chicago/Indianapolis" in my game for personal and historical reason.

If even Columbus,Ohio can have a "Port", why can't Indy?

I'm still trying to figure out that one. Port Columbus is the airport. Although the name has been changed to John Glenn international airport. So in conclusion, Columbus doesn't have a SHIP port....GP
