Ok would not let me post for some reason. Ok I am having lag issues with a new computer. I have i7-7700kn Processor 4 core 8mb cache 16GB HyperxTM Fury DDR4 XMP Nividia 1080. Is there a program I can download to turn off things on my computer while I am playing, or would another 16 GB of Ram Help. I love the game, but it should not be lagging during moves and combat.

Yes. Razer Cortex. I don't have the site handy, so just google it. That's how I found it....GP

I did down load a game booster, and I will try it, had them before and was not impressed, but I will try. Will extra ram help. This game should not be lagging on my computer.

What specifically is "lagging"? Depending on the number of units on the map, map size, terrain layout, sight range, etc, can cause the game to have to make a bunch of calculations with each unit move and unit shot (possibly, not sure if shooting changes a units sight range). There will also be a limitation in the application of 2D graphics based on the game engine software in use. Extra RAM will not change things in this case.

@casebier - how many on map units and what is the size of the map? If you do a LOS check what is the time and iterations?

There is no way a 2-D game should be taking this long to move a hex. There are games like Combat Mission that are 3D and run on computers of most people today. I have played those games at different times.

i deleted my saved games.

70 counters turn 1

24 counters added turns 5 & 6

21 counters on turn 9. really slowed down

16 counters on 11 & 12 really slowed down and became unplayable
with 16 counters on T13.

the map is 33x30 hexes.

at start when i checked LOS it was instantaneous. 10 hex limit. As more russians entered, movement bogged down.

i didn't check LOS later on because the game uses "outlined red hexes" to show targets and LOS tool is very
clunky. have to enter hex numbers...not easy when dealing with 152s.

Well I played the second mission, not many pieces, so it lags around turn 4 on movements, and a delay on hits. If I hit a target, I will see it on the screen before I see the damage on the map. I hope this is not more to come as I play the more challenging missions with more units. If the game is acting this way now, it will probably be worse as I play the bigger missions.

i have found a 'workaround' until my new computer gets here.

i play warfighter ww2 while the AI is moving...not a bad tradeoff.

i'm not getting my hopoes up at all. i'm so afraid it won't do anything...i may not even bother to install it on the new one.

i'll just keep using my workaround. at least if that slows down, i know whats wrong...too much beer.

Seems the game booster helped..so far, there was very little lag on the second mission with a result of a major victory.
