War wearies and Aircrew rotation

Post by Heeward »

Will aircraft become war weary, so abused / and tiered that its performance suffers and it is lost / withdrawn without loosing it crew.

Will aircrew rotate home after so many missions? Thus continuing to lower the experience level of a squadron while increasing its morale?

"war weary" aircraft are current included in the "op loss" catagory thats been with us since UV.

Right now there is no system of pilot rotation in the game but i believe it is on the "list" of preposed additions to the game

Add this to my wishlist of things that probably will never get into the game.

Couldn't you manually rotate pilots back to the Home Front (USA or Japan or Aussieland or UK) and then based on their experience get a bonus in your pilot training formula? The US routinely took their best pilots out of action and sent them to a training command to pass on thier knowledge. Couldn't other nations be likewise rewarded. Has this been considered?

I believe its being considered, but i dont know if it will be added to the game. Right now there is a pilot pool that can be checked by the player which shows the current # of replacement pilots avail, the starting exp rating and the monthly rate of buildup (similar to production)

That's better than nothing (i.e. the info we get in UV). I can live with limitations much easier if I at least get to know how bad things are. That way I can cheer when my replacement pilots start coming in at 22 exp instead of 16 exp. :)

Actually, based on the alpha testers' reports, exp doesn't seem to matter at all in air to air combat. :(

Please register my respectful disagreement with this assertion based on the reasons posted on that thread.

Would people stop complaining about exp. vs. plane. I think in the end it is going to be fixed. They are not that dumb to put that into the game! They do want to sell the game don't they.
