3rd round of Arabian Sea naval combat ended poorly for the allies. The CA was sunk as well as 1 CP.
In the 4th round I did not commit the remaining CW sub, so the combat ended.

SO42 i3 Naval Combat: East Med
Search rolls of 1/6 resulted in the Italians finding with 9 surprise points. Deciding they wanted to guarantee the sinking of the CP, IT made it a surface combat.
Will the CW fighters stay for a round 2?

E. Med
There were 4 more rounds of search rolls, though only one made a difference.
2nd round rolls of 4/8 meant the IT BB found with surprise points. Made it a surface (no combat) and went to the next round.

3rd round rolls of 1/6 meant the Italian fighter fleet found the CW planes with 9 SP (see image below). Used 8 surprise points to move IT A-A column to +6. In the end aborted one fighter. After the round of A-A, I had the CW fighter abort back to the zone. The aborted fighter went to Alexandria (on the 6-2 MIL).

4th round rolls of 3/6 meant the BB found again

And the 5th round rolls of 9/9 ended the combat in this zone.

SO42 i3: CSV naval combat.
The Italians reacted out a NAV and the Germans a fighter. All to the 1-box.
You have two NAV's that can react. Will they and where?

Note, I'm out for the next several hours, so there is no rush.

All I see are axis air units. If that's correct then the two CW Nav's do not react.

What you saw was correct. No CW reaction.
Search rolls of 8/9 resulted in no contact in CSV.

SO42 i3 Ground strikes
The RR ART is ground striking Odessa. A JP NAV is ground striking Vlad (see image below) and the fighter in Vlad could intercept. I have 3 CVP that can counter intercept.

Will you intercept?

Yes, the Soviet fighter will intercept. If it survives it will land back in Vlad.

SO42 i3 Ground support through Land Attacks (4 of them). I'll be going through each one. I made several decisions for the allies, but I think they are in line with what Ronnie would have done. If not, I can redo them.

First ground strikes results. Over Vlad the RU fighter rose into the air soon to be followed by 1 squadron of fighters from a JP CV patroling the coast. Net result was the bomber was cleared and the RU fighter was aborted. The JP bomber then proceeded to disorganize the RU bomber, missing the two corp entirely.

The GE RR ART managed to strike a corp and division in Odessa.

First Land attack in the North. This is the only one in which the Russians could have flown. It started at 32.5:1. Flying the bomber would at best have resulted in a 32.5:2 and there was a 6 pt GE fighter that could intercept. So I decided that Ronnie would not have flown the planes.

Land attack 2 was straight forward, though here I decided that Vatutin would not provided defensive ground support. He is in a position were with my next moves he could be put out of supply and being disorganized and out of supply is not a good situation (next attack as an example).

Land attack 3. Here I am taking advantage of the good ground strike in my previous impulse which disorganized all three units. I am able to envelop the units and place them out of supply. Being all black print, they only have a defensive value of 3.

And the 4th land attack is on Sevastopol. I was surprised that it was not reinforced at the beginning of the turn and I wanted to take advantage of this before it was corrected. The engineers earned their keep by suppressing the fortification benefits for my two strongest attacking units.

SO42 i3 ending situation around the CSV.

Will the allies get ashore and stay? I'm trying to push them as far south as possible, but don't think I can prevent the landing, unless I get real lucky at sea and I doubt he will add anything to this sea zone to give me another shot.

SO42 i3 ending situation around the Easter Mediterranean. Note the supply situation. The CP in the E. Med and the Arabian sea have been cleared. There are a lot of CP making the trip around the Cape of Good Hope, but they won't arrive in quantities till next turn. They are still lacking escorts as well.
