Help With Weapon State

I really would like some help with Weapons States. I am still struggling with getting the behavior I want in a SEAD strike in the Air Tutorial. I have read the posts I could find on the topic and the descriptions here... http://www.warfaresims.com/?p=4182 but still can't seem to get what I want to happen.

The behavior I want is "Attack every targeted enemy SEAD asset with missiles, bombs and guns until all weapons are expended or all targets are destroyed."

I have attached a zip of a saved scenario that I think should exhibit the desired behavior for the SEAD Strike mission. During repeated runs I will get the mission RTBing with ordnance left while enemy SEAD assets are still standing.

Thanks in advance to anyone with some suggestions.

Your save doesn't seem to ex-tractable. Can you re-attach it?

yeah OP i loaded your scenario, used the mission setups you had set (after checking them for correctness) took off my tomcats, shot down the enemy CAP, proceeded in with SEAD and everything behaved about as i expected (correctly)

SEAD runs in, shielded by predators, fires it's shrikes, then makes an APAM attack against the SA-2, strafing the remnants of the SA-6 on the way out. granted, they RTB once they run out of non-gun ordnance, but i think that's working as it's supposed to.

my advice is, if you want to make sure all of the hostile FCRs die is tune down the WRA on your shrikes to make sure they only shoot 2 shrikes per radar, that way you should be able to easily kill all 3~ of the FCRs. besides manually preventing RTB i'm not sure if there is a way to use the cannon until it is all gone, as the cannon is not considered a strike weapon.

edit: if you really want to make sure your aircraft stay on-station until totally weapons-empty you can use a SEAD patrol, they will stay engaged offensive even after winchester until they fire the last vulcan burst they have, then RTB (winchester) with strike though, i think it's designed so they get in and out quick. if you want loiter, use patrol instead.

i changed the SEAD strike to a SEAD patrol and all the SAMs were wiped out before the strikers arrived, and leaving all the rest of your missions alone i got 1900 points (major victory)

Thank you for the advice, Cik.

I will try out the patrol rather than the strike mission as well as play with the WRA.
