New to this game and can't seem to figure out how to get nato counters in the game. Just bought on steam version 221s. Can someone give me step by step instructions. Someone mentioned counters in systemgraphics folder but there are no counters there. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, and welcome to the game, and these forums. :)

Webizen who is the champion of the Nato Graphics, seems not to be around, so I searched some of the forums and found his guide. Here it is: tm.asp?m=2788950

I hope this will prove helpful :)

Well after trying for several hours I give up. The instructions are quite convoluted. It also says there is an installer for the mod but can't find it. I wish I had not bought this game. Can not get into toy solider pictures. Had I known no nato counters I would not have purchased. Oh well live and learn.

Well just remembered I can get my money back with Steams 14 day refund policy. I'll try a couple more things and if it doesn't work I will return it to Steam. Sad really that such a good piece of software in this genre with no nato counters. The game dose look good but Nato counters is a 100% deal breaker.

Not sure what trouble you're having in implementing the NATO counters in Webizen's instructions but if you have version 221s, then you should have the ability to set up your units in a random game with NATO counters using the TO&E feature. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as Lubaru is in. I just got the game on a Steam sale and when I attempt to download the mod it gives me a page of wingdings. I've looked at the Info for Newbies and I see that there is a program of some sort that may do this? I'm not sure but here is a link of the program in question that I can not find. Mod program

Is this something standard in a non steam version?

update: Okay I see, if I right click and "save link as" it creates a atzip file for me.

One must right click and save as, otherwise the odds are you'll see the reported strange looking characters as the system does not know how to handle the atzip file extension. Read instructions carefully.
