German rail repair?

l'm in the middle of a german 43 campgain and i have pushed the allies back to the western moist port of sicily. my problem now is the rail line r all dmg and the german contruction units r not fixing them. what should i do.

attach some to the corps that are in the region, they should then work local to that HQ - but even so its a bit hit and miss.

thks tried it. but all the construction units went for ports and airfields. l tried putting them all in diffrent lvl of HQ's also. they just didn't want to repair those rails. so i watched my men die from lack off supplies. and now l'v been forced to quit that game :(

also not all construction units can repair rails - you need to do some sorting in the command report.

but if you have driven the Allies into the sea in 1943 I'd guess you have won the game in any case

Repairing rails is kind of the lowest priority....factories are being repaired is probably the highest. You only have so many construction units, so they get used up pretty quick. Also range comes into it, the ones in OKW may not make it all the way down to Sicily.

In WiTW I believe all construction units can repair rails.
