My poor Cromwells rarely get hit by direct fire, but they get immobilized so easily :( Then he just comes and finishes them off.

I killled another Tiger in the woods and knocked off the gun of a Panther. That should slow him down a bit :) But he's almost on top of my last remaining VHs.

Oh my God, this guy has got an awsome way with recon  My reinforcements barely got on the map that they got spotted and half a dozen halftracks started to "welcome" my snipers  Got some of them and chased a few SS squads through the woods, tough to kill though. Tried do drop some counter-battery fire, his mortars and rockets are really annoying.

Well, it seems there are some Kats in the woods where my reinforcements are strugling and that they have a huuge support force with them, that has so far killed all but my entire sniper force (and I had quite a few, too). I only had his SP Mortars firing this turn, what happened, did I really hit something with that counter-battery?:)

It's all right mr Viking you killed most everything I started with and half the reinforcements... just a couple of turns and that F9 will come in handy :D

A couple more Firefly's die this turn and the remaining Vhexs are captured, all though I don't think I can hold them.

Deep in my territory another Sniper is found and seperated from his life.

I trying to track down six tanks, 4 Fireflys and two Achillies, that I know of.

Back to you

Gee, the poor sniper  He was on that spot from turn 1 and watched all your flanking force passing by ;) He was just about to pick on a nicely placed Pak40... but alas.

Fireflies don't come cheap as two more Panthers go back to the scrap yard

I got back one of the VHs but my tank instantly disappeared to an ATG. They're his now, waiting to see when will my HQ decide to surrender

Recaptured the Vhexs, and take out a couple more Fireflys. In the center near the center Vhexs a 150mm SP Gun was on its way to the front and a Britsh Sniper takes aim at the driver with his rifle, takes his shot, For the King ! Sadly the Brit misses, the Greman vehical returns fire with his 150mm sniper rifle  He misses barely, resulting in a larger red spot.

Oh my God the poor little snipers! Mr. Barbarian, just wait until the Nurenberg trial

Strike off your list one more Panther and one more Sturmtiger :D God save the King!

Our most expensive infantry is fighting valiantly all over the map. It's name strikes fear into the heart of the enemy. They are...

THE CREWMEN!

Well, JJ, you ain't gonna need them anymore, because

YOU WON!

Congratulations :) Very good game. My HQ's morale broke right after you took all the VHs. I thought the Brits were stubborn and would fight against all odds, but they're not

That last Kat held on against all odds :( I pounded it with lots and lots of 17 inch from 5-6 hexes; some of that was APCR. I only managed to scratch its suspension.

You're like that guy with 1000 eyes  There's really nothing I could do without you noticing it and dropping zounds of arty on me.

But I've also been watching you carefully and learned a thing or two. Thanks! It's great that a guy who's as good as you are finds some time once in while to play with us newbies.:)

My password was
vieking

What was yours? I'm really curious to look where your infiltrators were, they called in a lot of awfully precise arty on my tanks.

And I hope I'm not asking for too much - but how about a couple of comments/tips? :)

My Password for this game was Death

I didn't see any AT guns, or mortars. Those would have been a big help in you effort. An on you reinforcements you used you armored recon well but you didn't have any at the start of the game you had Jeeps, which I like but my MC where picking them off like flys, if you would have mix those armored cars with the Jeeps you would have been able to put a hurt on my MCs ( My eyes )

I had no infiltrators, I have been trying to practice with out them. I was using your smoke to cover my moves. MCs would drart to the edge of your smoke and peek.

When plotting your preplan arty hexs try to put them where you want the final attack to be and if you can where you think the enemy will attack the South is where I thought you were going to attack.

We can play again if you would like, tell me what you would like

Sure, JJ, I would love to play you again!:) Only not right now, I need to think about my tactics first so I can be more challenging ;) How about we start another one on Friday because I have lots of time through the weekend? I'd like to try Germany this time, I think.

Thanks for everything! You're grrrrreat :D Kattorific!

All right :) Let's do '44 again and conditions similar to those we already played by;)

You can set it up and send it to me anytime, but I'll only play the first turn on Friday, as I said. Or maybe I can try and set it up myself this time...

Your call you can set up if you wish, if you set up please have the setting of True troop on/Rarity Off, I prefer to trust my opponents that deal with the rarity god;)

Just let me know

Viking,

I think I know what the "True Troop" preference does, what does the rarity thing do?

Rarity disallows/limits you from buying some items, based on there rarity factor.

Example you may not be able to buy a certian type of tank, I don't like it because you sometimes aren't allowed to by any tanks

yes the choices are sometimes a little bit obscure....but
generally it´s a good function. in the real world you don´t
have all toys to choose from !
