King George V? or Prince of Wales.

I hereby invalidate this vote, as it contains TWO guesses. [:-]

You know nothing [8|]

It is of course, as Canoerebel pointed out, Angus Mutsu after whom the Yamashiro was named.

"Her" friends? Should King George V (or KGV) have-in reality-been Queen George V (or QGV to her friends)?

There are some who call ships 'it' and not 'she'. Don't know why, whether its PC or whatever, I am sure there is no single reason and each to their own.

But to me, ships are ladies and after over 50 years on this planet, I am not changing now [:)].

Correct. I guess it was the twin 15-inchers that gave it away?

First Chipping Sparrow this year.

we have a lot of Confederate Violets here. Very edible. People use to dip them, and other flowers, into a sugar and egg white mixture to put on cakes.

Some Violets will flower underground.

Dandelions, Violets, Nettles and Plantain are all on the menu. Redbud flowers also.

I'll leave this overnight before posting a clue (in the unlikely event that that proves necessary).

These two? The granddaughters of Mussolini? The one in the middle is his daughter Edda.

Did you notice that my next post (which was my second guess) was the Prince of Wales? But, as I didn't put two guesses in the same post, I think that passed muster. [;)]
