Not defense related per se, but this could allow some heavier loads dedicated to a particular receiver/organization to be shipped by air.
"We need the hardware now or our proprietary software will become obsolete or hacked or stolen. It's a 3 month market. We have to move now! Get it done."

Behind the military strength is logistics, then behind military logistics is manufacturing, and then behind it is workforces and resources.
US defense know it for centuries, doesn't mean it's getting easier with experiences. They addressed one of a crucial issue behind the manufacturing of advanced weaponries:

USNI 'debunk' Chinese Type 039A/B submarines based on satellite images, determined it is not a small submarine for limited coastal defense at all. While agreed it's only a tad bit smaller than Japanese Soryu-class subs but retained same capability of long distance operations, the heavily reliance to SLASM over torpedo is still highly probable, given by USNI that only know Yu-6 instead of the latter models:

While Chinese new 001A carrier and 055 destroyer does show some impressions, their submersible forces however is not. Ironically, western medias loves to keep talking about Chinese subs as if they are from Soviet Union.

NYT Reporting impacts at al Shayrat Airfield.
al Shayrat airbase is located in Southwestern Syria, close to the recent CW strikes.

GoogleEarth Imagery shows Su-20's at the airfield.

Post edited since I initially misidentified the aircraft. The wing crank is distinct to the Su-17 family.
