republic or monarchy ?

Post by fuselex »

Many sacrifice their lives in combat .
The butcher , the doctor , the bricklayer ,and every profession in between.
But we go to war for an ideal . a believe , maybe even a hope that the world will be
better , but in the end countless lives are sacrificed for nothing .
We argue over here about a republic or a monarchy .
But what is the difference ?
A politician will make a deal with another to get what he wants .
To myself it`s disgraceful ,
In the end we send incredibly brave people to die for some politicians argument
over cognac .
Republic or Monarchy ?
Does it really matter ? , both need the pole removed from their butts

I think the worst president in the world is better than a king like this (Victor Emanuel III, king of Italy from 1900 to 1944):

who fled and left its country at the (dubious) mercy of the Wehrmacht. May his name be despised forever.

One of my psychopathic friends told me the other day that we live in hell and that the leaders were the demons ...[:D]
I do not agree, Napoleon:
- perpetrated a European genocide[:(]
- restored slavery[:(]
- restored the monarchy
- lost Waterloo, which our English friends recall to us yearly.
Um, what's the class above the demons?[:D]
