Sweeps my Warhawks. A great coordinated attack from Java. B17 from Singers most likely.

Damage is fairly minimal as the Allies attack the runway, the port and not the oil. Gotta get some Zeroes here.

Still an impressive day of coordinated raids.

I forgot to restrict their range.

The Shokaku TF caught this lone destroyer...perhaps he will think it is the entire KB.

Allies fly lrcap with the Flying Tigers here, and of course our Tojo's sweep last...Nates were escorting most attacks.

I always thought that it meant "Strategic Resource Area."

When you play someone as experienced in Japan as Obvert there is a new Meta to the game. Here, you can see Allied sub infestation right along the main default shipping route to Truk/Yokohama.

Aleutian Islands

A destroyer task force will sweep deep.

Adak has only a small naval company and portions of a JNAF engineering unit there. Enough to fly some patrols out, which I am about to relocate there.

For today I will limit their search to very close to Adak, but then cover Unmak tomorrow when the destroyers go in.

The Shokaku and Zuikaku are headed here...I want these islands to run Iboats off the West Coast.

I really only expect to gift the Allies 4 VP here, but you simply never know.

Lok and others mastered the early attack on Honshu...and it is something to worry about. I accumulated all the AA, and will now be railing it to protect northern Honshu, Hokkaido and Sakhalin. Troops are already on the beaches. HQ units have been assigned.

Japan has several 2 VP long legged AMc...several will be out as pickets.

The restricted patrol boats will fly search, now that they are done transporting units to Paramushiro.

I fully expect the Allies to launch an offensive in this area. I suspect they are waiting for Hong Kong to fall and the shipment of those troops to Luzon/Singers.

So I will try to keep a weather eye on the Chinese here.

This is one of my favorite units. It's not a mutant. It's a great unit for SoPAC. I like this one on Kusae Island or Ponape along with a base force and an increase in port size, this unit helps to allow for fast embarkation from either place... you know for counterattacks or some such.

I was thinking along the same lines, but also around Buin, or Buna, or Umboi, or Shortlands.

Obvert is travelling for the week, so turns maybe particularly slow for the near future. Having said that, though, there is a turn in my inbox I will run later this morning/early afternoon.

Some fireworks maybe, as the arms of the pincer close on Balikpapen.

Dec 22, 1941

B17Es show up over Palembang, and despite having 16 Zeroes intercept plus other fighters, they promptly score 15 oil hits and shoot down at least 7 fighters.

At least the AA fired; and the AA will be doubled after tonights unloading of more AA.

No beasts destroyed for the day.
