ETA on Steam release?

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

ETA on Steam release?

Post by zombiewarrior07 »

I know this has been asked before, but can we please get some indication when we will see this game on Steam?
Want to play this game in Big Picture (TV) mode. Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge the devs have not responded to this question so far; meaning they have not ruled it out either. I believe they are considering the commercial aspects before committing to a yes or a no.

On top of my head I would say that it is clear that when the game was released a steam version was not planned. Based on the reception of the game and the requests for steam ports, I foresee that it will come in a matter of months.

Actually,

We will eventually release on Steam but initially we want to release on our site (note you get a free steam key when the game releases on Steam). This means only one version to maintain which makes the whole process easier and lets us iterate faster to adjust balance or fix bugs.

I'm only buying steam games these days and relied on this. They did say eventually, so I'll be patient.

We do plan to eventually release on Steam but I don't have a schedule to share. If you'd like to play now - please buy it from our store. You will get a free Steam key for the Steam release once it becomes available there so you'll have it first and on Steam.
