0 ports

Can 0 level ports be expanded? I read where you can expand to 3 times the limiting number. I assume 3 x 0 is still zero but wanted to double check.....Bill.
While not disgruntled he was far from gruntled....

Hi, Bill. It's plus 3, not times 3, so a "0" port can be built to size 3.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

Yes the limit of a port or airfield is the dot theorical maximum (seen on the map) + 3.

So if you have a 0 port, you can build a 3-pt port, if it is a maximum 1-pt port, you can build it to size 4.

But I takes forever to build something over the maximum size and it is even slower when the maximum is "0", even with Allied engineers and vehicles.

And I have the impression that is longer for ports than airfields in this case ???

There is enough dots with 1 point of potential that I almost never build other. If a spot has a port of size 0 but an airfield of size 1 or more, I may build the airfield, but only if there is no other possibility in the vicinity, but I will never build the port... too much efforts for little gain in unloading, better to supply the dot by barges, FT or planes.
